Meet Paula


For the past 26 years
Paula and her husband have used real estate to "give them shelter" but always with an eye to resale and maximizing their investment. Buying and selling land and homes, building homes, owning rental properties, renovating homes and using the 1997 homeowners capital gains exclusion or IRS 1031 exchanges, they have minimized their tax exposure and deferred capital gains and come out ahead of the tax game.

Paula graduated from Cal Poly State University in mathematics in 1972, and worked in oil and gas accounting for nine years before opening her own bookkeeping and computer accounting business.

Moving to Taos in 1998 was a dream come true. After selling her bookkeeping and computer accounting business, she realized another dream and became a realtor in the land where anything is possible. Paula loves working with people relocating to Taos, helping to make the transition a positive one in finding their new home in the southwest.

Paula’s third love (after family and real estate) is pigs!
